How to success and become famous in the indie game world?

Oke, hari ini saya ingin membagikan sedikit motivasi untuk Indie Game Developers yang saya temukan dari internet Tanpa basa basi, ini dia

Let's me(The Writter) tell you my story and how I can become success and famous with nothing when I started.


But first we will talking little about indie game development, I think you will have some question like:
- Indie game? Who are they?
- What is the different of indie game and company game?
- How I can become an indie game developement?
I will answer to you all of that question!


About my(The Writter) story:
The truth is I'm not realy success and became a famous guy (at this time). But as you can see, I have a website (it's just a small website) and my game in the release day was playing by many people and they love it, do you want to know the number of the downloaded? 200 people play my DNN Land game in the first day! It's not a big number in the USA indie game or some other big place. But in Viet Nam it's very big number.

So how you can do that?
I have a question for you, my friend. Do you think you will success? (Answer it an you can see your future in indie game)


If you say "Yes I am", cool you will succes! Why? because I see you believe yourseft.
If you say "No I don't think so", that is your problem, you not believe yourseft. You think you not success and that will come, so believe yourseft, I think you can do better than me.
After all, are you ready to become an indie game developer?




Number one: Write your dream on a paper
Let's take a small paper and write your own dream about indie game and what will you can achieve!
You can write your own but I think you can review what is in my "paper dream":

+ Make my own company [ not yet ]
+ Earn the first money : 1000$ [ not yet ]
+ Become the best indie game ever [ big dream right? ^^ ]




Number two: Don't do everything alone

1/Internet is the best way to get infomation about make game
When I was a beginer in make game, I making everything alone and you know I never complete everthing. I'm stuck, but I have a idea in my head in that time "Hey! Why I not ask someone?". After that I go to the internet and searching, I found many helpful thing! I found a tool make game don't need code! I found a forum about making game. I found many thing. So Why you don't go to the internet I found some useful infomation?
2/Let's find your own team
Work alone is not good very much, let's make an example, when you make a game and you need more graphics but you can't drawing or color good, how can you complete it if you work alone? (I can find it in internet ^^, yes you can but make your own team is the best way).

punya team emg bagus sih, tapi jgn terlalu berharap dgn team, kadang gak kompak,, ap lgi kalo game yg di buat itu free, di artist/composer/programmer mngkin akan lebih malas utk teamwork (note: gk semua ny gitu sih)

tpi sebaik ny kerja sendiri dulu, belajar programming (khusus programmer ), kalo udah bisa bikin game sndiri, baru coba utk nyari temen yg bisa di ajak team work khusus ny di grafik

Yup, benar kadang kalo kerja team itu ada yang gak kompak tapi kalo misalnya kerja teamnya itu bareng-bareng di satu tempat itu baru seru soalnya kita bisa sharing rame-rame dan melihat prosesnya bersama-sama

pengalaman jdi OSIS di skolah, kacau bnget, rapat jam 11 > ak udah nyampe di skolah jam 10.30, yg lain jam 11 baru mau berangkat dri rumah
sampai di ruang OSIS gk ada ap2, kebanyakan anggota ny mah pasif semua (ak juga pasif diam doank sepanjang rapat)

ak berharap sih gk terjadi di tempat lain juga yg kyk ginian smoga bisa lebih aktif dan lebih produktif

untuk game yg cukup kecilan masih sanggup dikerjakan solo
otherwise kalo mau kerja team cukup 2 atau 3 orang aja biar gk susah diorganisir, tapi tetep butuh kekompakan & keseriusan dlm mengerjakan

untuk resource yg gk sanggup dibikin sendiri bisa request ke orang lain atau via jejaring sosial/forum, lumayan nambah credits

Kalau utk game yg berskala besar,memang lebih baik pake team,jd masing2 punya tugasnya,misalnya yg satu khusus utk programmingnya,satu lg yg bikin design karakter atau tampilannya,yg satu yg bikin konsep gamenya mau seperti apa..

Kalo membuat game full original harus bisa belajar jadi sound engineer and graph artist... ane juga baru mau mulai belajar bikin game, dari yang simpel aj keknya.
